Support Engineer Intern - Deployment
Six-month internship completed in August 2026 on the Deployment support team: real customer cases taken to root cause, tooling and written material for the engineers who take the next ones, and the programme's structured Cloud Support training, working with teams across EMEA and the Americas.
- Resolved customer cases by phone, email and chat, troubleshooting deployment services - CloudFormation, CodePipeline, CodeBuild and CodeDeploy, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS and EKS - to root cause.
- Built tools and scripts used by AWS Support Engineers, and wrote support content to improve support processes and reduce repeat contacts.
- Completed structured Cloud Support training across compute, storage, IAM, networking, serverless, databases, security, governance and shared-responsibility concepts, including blue/green and rolling deployments, Control Tower and Service Catalog.
- Developed working knowledge of AI-assisted delivery tooling, Amazon Q Business and Amazon Q Developer.
- Modelled repeatable infrastructure and architecture concepts with CloudFormation.
SafeZone - internship group prototype
Led the five-person intern team over five weeks - goals, timeline, a weekly cadence, and coordination with managers and mentors - while owning the part everyone else depended on: the shared API boundary, React routing and responsive navigation, the authentication platform boundary, and static hosting stood up early so there was always somewhere to deploy. Wrote the demo walkthrough and built the final architecture and AI-trust presentation. A team lead among peers, not a people manager, and the domain features stay credited to the teammates who built them.
